Because of delays, CR 609 (Sebesta Road) will be closed to all traffic beginning at 8 a.m. Monday. The closure area will be 500 feet either side of the Angleton Protection Levee. Access to and egress from residents and businesses within Oakwood Creek Estates will be by Jamison Drive and CR 290 (Snipe Road) only. Cosure will last from six to eight weeks.

City hall lost its roof during IKE. Until a new city hall can be secured, the monthly council meetings will be held at the offices of Randy Stroud, 201 S. Velasco, Angleton, Texas. Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 6 PM.
